mechanical relay switching lifespan, switch cycle durability (version 2)
Using the various datasheets from omron panasonic TE hongfa etc, the below plots are obtained/estimated.
using 1A resistance load as a common point of comparison, there are generally 4 durability categories quoted in most makes
cycle life of 100k 200k 500k 1000k >2000k
all lines are plotted vs the background of omron 274P/234P, most lines are expected to be y = 1/x positive curve like the omron, or in the cases of TE they are y = -ax
there is already an expected trend of how durability / wear works, however HFD2 appears to follow different physics rule, the curve follows a y = -ve parabola
HFD2 pdf also does not define Temf parameters
most entry level relays would reach EOL (electrical) at 2 to 3 million ops, the mid tiers would reach around 6million+ ops, the real beasts go 10million ops easily, and then there is the reeds which normally play in the 100 million+ ops range, and the solid states in excess of 1billion.
